Our Daily Buko

Our Daily Buko000013

My mom had written a good description of him, so I’ll just share it here:

“Feb 9, 2014 – His name is Rogelio, 64 years old . He has been delivering fresh young coconut to our neighborhood for 20 years , pushing this cart up and down our roads everyday. We are his “suki” (regular customer). He carries 30 coconuts a day. The price is 25 peso a piece though last Christmas time, it went up to 30 per. He just gets 10 peso a piece for income. We can just imagine the hardship of selling these coconuts. But we really thank him — our lives have been made easier and healthier because of him.”

I salute you, Mang Rogelio!
